In the 2016 Republican Primary, nearly every one of the candidates referred to himself as a conservative. Some candidates treated the term as if it were a relative term, meaning that they were ‘more conservative’ than liberal democrats. Others were completely unable to define the term when asked. So what exactly is a conservative?
To be a conservative, you hold to several core principles:
The supremacy of the US Constitution.
National Sovereignty.
Individual Liberty.
The reduction of the federal government to its constitutional boundaries.
The continual pursuit of securing liberty for all Americans.
American citizenship and secure borders.
The supremacy of free market capitalism.
Recognition of and protection from our enemies.
Personal ownership and control on one’s own private property.
A proper understanding of the true nature of man and his culture.
Sadly, many Democrats hold to these positions and do not realize that their party absolutely opposes their belief system. We need to help them realize that their party is not what it used to be. It is a hard left party, and it’s goals are to continue a perpetual push further to the left.
